Michael Steveson - Team Manager

Michael Steveson has been involved in competition aerobatics since 1996 when he flew in the Basic Category at the Bill Briski Akrofest. He has worked his way up through the competition categories all the way to Unlimited Category in which he competed at the US National Aerobatic Championships in Dennison, Texas.

Michael has been a very active member of the Phoenix Aerobatic Club (IAC Chapter 69) serving multiple terms as its President along with every other position imaginable from Newsletter Editor to Contest Director to Judging School Chairman.

In addition to flying, Michael has been an active Competition Judge and is currently an IAC National Judge as well as a CIVA Approved Judge. Michael has acted as Chief Judge at numerous IAC Regional Contests and has judged in the Advanced and Unlimited categories at the US National Aerobatic Championships. Michael received the Robert L Heuer Award in 2003.This honor is awarded by the IAC annually for excellence in judging.

Michael's first exposure to World Championship Aeroabtics was when he attended the 6th FAI Advanced World Aerobatic Championships in 2004 in Ljungbyhed, Sweden. He has assisted in some capacity with each US Advanced team since that time. In 2008 at the 8th FAI World Advanced Aerobatic Championships the USA Advanced Team won the FAI Gold Team Medal with Michael serving as Team Manager.
