Just an update...I finally mounted my new Whirlwind Propeller, it looks sharp too. I posted some pictures on the site and honestly think I should get bonus points in future contests just for the "cool factor". Initial test flight was very positive. The A/C accelerates faster on t/o cruises 5-10kts. faster at comparable power settings and now has some braking when I pull the power back.It snaps

CIVA News

CIVA stands for "Commission Internationale de Voltige Aerienne" and is responsible for the administration of aerobatic competition worldwide under the auspices of the FAI.

CIVA Judges List for 2010

At the 2009 plenary meeting in Oshkosh, CIVA approved new nominations to the FAI International Judges List for Aerobatics.

FAI Aerobatic Championships scheduled this year include the World Advanced Aerobatic Championships (Power), a combined World Advanced Glider and European Glider Championships, and the European Aerobatic Championships (Unlimited Power). This schedule, along with special and national events, will keep many of these Judges occupied this year and our thanks to the new ones who have volunteered to serve FAI and CIVA.

The 2010 USA Advanced Aerobatic Team has been selected and is now preparing for the 2010 Advanced World Aerobatic Championships.

AWAC 2010 LogoThe 9th FAI Advanced World Aerobatic Championships will be held at Radom Sadkow Airport (Military Airport) in Radom, Poland August 5th - 15th, 2010.


IAC LogoIn the USA the International Aerobatic Club (IAC) is responsible for all things "Aerobatics" including sanctioning of contests and the selection of all USA Aerobatic Teams.

The United States Team is selected from the highest placing pilots from the US National Aerobatic Championships held each year in Dennison, Texas.

These fine pilots will spend many hundreds of hours practicing and spend many thousands of dollars in order to compete at a World level.
